Edith Stein, a child of Israel, a martyr for her people
A study on Edith Stein’s life. Born in the Jewish religion, a philosopher thirsting for truth, she became a Catholic, entered the Carmel, and offered herself as a victim of expiation for the salvation of her people. She she died in a concentration camp on August 9, 1942.

The Immaculate Conception and the Divine Sophia
Fathers of the Church, theologians and poets have vied with one another to acclaim in Mary the perfect ideal of the Wisdom of God. The 19th century Russian philosopher, Soloviev, contemplates the Wisdom of God at work in history, creating a mysterious harmony that he calls Sophia, Virgin, Spouse and Mother, the Immaculate Conception.

Infallible ? The precedent set by Saint Philomena.
In 1961, Pope John XXIII struck the feast of St. Philomena, from the calendar, refused to include her in the martyrology, and did away with her proper Office and Mass. To admit that Blessed Pius IX erred in establishing the cult of St. Philomena amounts to recognising that the cause of saints is not covered by infallibility.
