1. The Immaculate and the angel
Two months after October 13, 1960 when, at Fatima, a million pilgrims were praying to Our Lady for world peace and against the spread of Communism, the Soviets suffered fatal explosions during their aerospace and nuclear experiments. This was the realisation of the inaugural vision of the Third Secret, the marvellous exegetical, mystical and historical riches of which are set out in this chapter, together with Sister Lucia's urgent recommendations.

3.2. Towards the Consecration of the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
In 1938, Cardinal Pacelli had blessed at Rome the mosaic of the crowning of Our Lady, destined for the basilica of Fatima. What did he think of Our Lady’s Apparitions and messages on March 2, 1939, when he received the office of Supreme Pastor? Many indications suggested that he might receive Our Lady of Fatima’s requests more favourably than his predecessor.

10. “The dance of the sun” (October 13)
Proved by superabundant witnesses, documents and pictures, the solar miracle appears to everyone as the incontestable seal that God willed to place on the apparitions of Fatima, on the prophecies, promises and terrible warnings that His Immaculate Mother came to reveal at the Cova da Iria.
2.3 The Beginnings of a Magnificent Renaissance
Thanks to Salazar, Portugal went from a Masonic regime to a government favourable to the Church. On Mai 13, 1931, all the bishops consecrated Portugal to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This act, in which multitudes of the faithful participated so fervently, had been inspired by Sister Lucy herself. It drew down a new shower of graces upon the land.
3. The Angel Precursor
It was when the trio had been reunited that the three great angelic manifestations took place, in the spring, summer and fall of 1916. «The dates I cannot set down with certainty», Lucy writes. However, she was able to indicate the season when each of the three apparitions took place. Lucy had just turned nine, Francisco was barely eight, and Jacinta was only six years old.
