He is risen !

N° 256 – April 2025

Director : Frère Bruno Bonnet-Eymard

Pray, and pray much for the Holy Father!

The Church sings “Non est qui consoletur eam ex omnibus caris ejus,” at the Tenebræ service during Holy Week.

Of all those she loved, not one consoles her. She weeps bitterly in the night, tears on her cheeks [...]. All you who pass by on the way, look and see if there is any sorrow like mine!

In his Lamentations, the prophet Jeremiah describes the sorrow of Jerusalem, devastated in punishment for her iniquities. Her Temple and her walls torn down, her shepherds exiled, her children starving...

At Matins, as we sang them, we thought of our poor Church “half in ruins”! And more than ever, since the death of our Holy Father Pope Francis on Monday, April 21, the prophet’s cry calls out to us: “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, come back to Yahweh your God!

THE VIRGIN MARY REPARATRIX,
THE SALVATION OF THE CHURCH

Actually, Sion’s sorrow, which moreover is sung as being the sorrow of Yahweh’s Beloved, one to whom a numerous posterity, a universal maternity, has been promised, is above all the figure of the affliction of the Virgin Mary, our sorrowful Mother. She is fully united to the sacrifice of Her Divine Son on the Cross, to the point of suffering with Him the punishment of the appalling sin of the world, of our sins, because She is our Co-Redemptrix.

The Good God wanted to remind our times about this mystery, by allowing our Divine Mother to manifest Herself in the same state of affliction. Today, it is She Who weeps because of the Holy City in ruins, because so many of Her children, captives of the Enemy, are faltering and succumbing to eternal death. We must make Pope Francis’ successor pay heed to Her message.

In 1846, on the mountain of La Salette, She appeared to Maximin and Melanie. She was in tears, sitting on stones, Her head in Her hands and Her elbows on Her knees, in an attitude of inconsolable sadness. On Her breast was a crucifix, with tongs and hammer, “which held without anything attaching them”.

Having stood up, She asked the children to come closer to hear “great news”:

If My people are not willing to submit themselves, I am forced to let fall the arm of My Son. It is so heavy and so weighty that I can no longer withhold it. I have suffered for you for so long!

Pope Francis would not hear of such a complaint nor accept it. Far from submitting to Our Lady’s demands, he allowed his people to offend Her, to wound Her Immaculate Heart, to the point that we would deserve to be abandoned by Our Lord a thousand times over, if She Herself did not intercede for us.

Our Mediatrix, however, pays the price for these offences: She suffers for us, as She did at the foot of the Cross, and as Saint Margaret Mary had to suffer to atone for the faults of her Visitation sisters. The heavy chain, in the form of braids, which Maximin and Melanie saw on Our Lady’s shoulders, clearly shows the heavy burden of divine Justice that She endures for us, as Jeremiah announced it in Jerusalem: “My transgressions were bound into a yoke; by His hand they were fastened together; they were set upon my neck.”Lm 1:14

We owe a debt of gratitude to our Mother, the Immaculate Co-Redemptrix if today we do not suffer the same fate as Jerusalem at the time of the Exile.

A “COVENANT OF LOVE”.

If I do not wish My Son to abandon you, Our Lady continued, I must take it upon Myself to pray unceasingly for you.”

She must “take it upon Herself” to pray for us: She is thus obeying the will of our most beloved Heavenly Father, Who wants to pass through Her mediation, so that the Mercy of which He Himself is the eternal Source can be exercised in all Justice. As on the day of the Annunciation, everything depends on Her: the redemptive plan of our beloved Heavenly Father becomes incarnate in Her Immaculate Heart.

And this “covenant of love” – as our Father put it –, this secret that was unveiled in 1846, still persists, with an increasingly appalling mass of sins for which it is necessary to make reparation.

And you take no heed of this! Our Lady complaints. However much you pray, however much you do, you will never be able to recompense the pains I have taken for you!

That is why, in the Pontevedra apparitions, the centenary of which we are celebrating this year, Our Lord asked us to share the grief of His Mother’s Immaculate Heart. Our compassion, our prayers, enable Her to obtain mercy, as our Father wrote: “From My tears mixed with the tears and blood of all souls devoted to My Immaculate Heart, I will plead for Mercy for the souls making their way to God: the Blood of the martyrs is the seed of Christians.”

As the great ‘Secret’ of Our Lady of Fatima shows, the main ‘stake’ of this covenant of love is the heart of the Holy Father. That is why we need to pray very, very much and sacrifice ourselves so that our Divine Mother can obtain for us the election of a Pope according to Her Heart, to save the souls of the faithful from the diabolical disorientation of which the Church is a victim.

FUNERAL ORATION

Paraphrasing our Father in his funeral oration for Paul VI, we can say that Pope Francis was the legitimate Successor of Saint Peter and Vicar of Jesus Christ for twelve years. But he was also the head, the charismatic guide of the permanent reform instituted in the Church at the Second Vatican Council, inaugurated and relentlessly pursued by John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI, against which Father de Nantes rose up. And we follow our Founder, out of fidelity to the Truth that he so valiantly defended.

And so, since Easter Monday, at the same time as “the soul of our Sovereign Pontiff detached itself from its carnal envelope, his heart left to the world his controversial work. He himself has surrendered to God’s infallible judgement concerning his responsibility; as for his work, which remains in the body and blood of the Church there to act as a life-giving serum or a fatal poison: it is for us mortals to judge in the light of the Catholic faith.”

FROM HOPE TO LAMENTATION.

Right from the start of his pontificate, I wanted to emphasise Pope Francis’ piety, his “encounter with the Lord”, as he called it, as the necessary source of all zeal and dedication in the Church.

In the preamble to his first Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii gaudium, in which he set out the programme of his pontificate, he wrote: “I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting Him encounter them.” (no.°3)

After fifty years of conciliar reformism and Wojtylian gnosticism, these words seemed to herald a return to the simplicity of the Gospel, accompanied by exhortations to humility and poverty. It was like a breath of fresh air, and with our faith in the assistance promised to Peter’s successor, we were filled with hope. Our hope was that Pope Francis’ piety, his mysticism would prevail and lead him to understand the harmfulness of the conciliar heritage of his predecessors and to have recourse to the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

On May 13, 2017, Pope Francis experienced an ‘encounter’ with Our Lady of Fatima. And his preaching during this pilgrimage showed that he was resolutely pinning all his hopes on the utopia of the Masdu, rather than on the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

After this event, he resolutely ‘forged ahead’, as he put it, i.e. sacrificing what was still left of the Catholic religion in favour of his dream of universal brotherhood. In 2018, he canonised Paul VI, which fitted in perfectly with his benevolence towards the homosexual lobby. In 2019, he signed the Abu Dhabi Declaration with Iman Ahmed At-Tayeb, followed by the Synod on Amazonia and the cult of the Pacha mama. In 2020, in his encyclical Fratelli tutti, Pope Francis put his religion aside to speak as an expert in fraternity. The revolution was further accelerated by the appointment of Archbishop Manuel Fernandez as head of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith in 2023, who authorised the blessing of homosexual couples with the declaration Fiducia supplicans, and finalised the drafting of the document Dignitas infinita, as well as the promulgation of the new Norms for Proceeding in the Discernment of Alleged Supernatural Phenomena. All this took place in 2024, at a time when the Church’s ‘synodal reform’ was gaining momentum, and the fruits to be expected from it were becoming clear: widespread contestation of the authority of the sacred hierarchy in favour of lay committees, and promotion of women to positions of government in the Church, in clear defiance of her Divine Constitution.

POPE FRANCIS’ ‘THEOLOGICAL’ TESTAMENT.

What mystical, religious motive could have inspired such zeal, such virulence in the reform of the Church? Pope Francis sought to explain it when he published his encyclical Dilexit nos on devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in October 2024.

As a comparison of this encyclical with the thought of our Father clearly shows, the deficiencies or omissions in the Pope’s devotion, theology and mysticism are abysmal. In these two hundred and twenty paragraphs, we vainly tried to find any mention of the salvation of souls, the Last Judgement, Heaven and Hell. This silence is terribly significant, and makes us shudder, considering that nowhere has it been said, by anyone, that the Holy Father received Extreme Unction during his last illness!

The salvation of souls, the conversion of sinners who are marching into Hell, are nevertheless the motives for which Our Lord wants to establish the cult of His Sacred Heart, the subject of this encyclical! “He made me see that the ardent desire He had to be loved by men and to withdraw them from the path of perdition onto which Satan is thrusting them in droves, had compelled Him to devise this plan of manifesting His Heart to men.”

The same applies to the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that “God wants to establish in the world in order to save souls that go to Hell.” (July 13, 1917)

THE ‘BATTLE OF WILLS’ CONTINUES…

But, more specifically, like his predecessors, Benedict XVI in particular, Pope Francis considered these ‘private revelations’, these ‘spiritual experiences’ as optional, to be exploited at will, more or less, according to the degree of ‘appropriateness’ that he assigned to them. But what do the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, and our dearest heavenly Father think of such indifference to their requests, and especially of the reparatory communion on the first Saturday of the month, which Pope Francis refrained from promulgating following his consecration of Russia and the Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary?

Thebattle of willsbetween Christ and his Vicar on earth”, to use our Father’s expression, has been raging ever since Leo XIII, who presented the consecration requested by the Sacred Heart as the fruit of his personal devotion, and not as a binding demand from his Sovereign Master, transmitted to him by a nun, Blessed Mary of the Divine Heart. In this drama on which the salvation of so many souls depends, the new Norms for Proceeding in the Discernment of Alleged Supernatural Phenomena, signed by Cardinal Fernandez and approved by Pope Francis, are an outrage against the merciful design of the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary, because they conceal the objective, and therefore binding, nature of apparitions and divine interventions.

THE SPIRITUAL ANIMATION OF THE UNIVERSAL FRATERNITY

In the conclusion to his encyclical Dilexit nos, Pope Francis set out the goal he had pursued. As we have seen, it was not to respond to the demands of the Sacred Heart, nor to save souls from Hell, but to achieve another goal. And what was it?

The present document can help us see that the teaching of the social Encyclicals Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti is not unrelated to our encounter with the love of Jesus Christ. For it is by drinking of that same love that we become capable of forging bonds of fraternity, of recognising the dignity of each human being, and of working together to care for our common home […]. Christ’s love can give a heart to our world and revive love wherever we think that the ability to love has been definitively lost […]. The Church also needs that love, lest the love of Christ be replaced with outdated structures and concerns, excessive attachment to our own ideas and opinions, and fanaticism in any number of forms, which end up taking the place of the gratuitous love of God that liberates, enlivens, brings joy to the heart and builds communities. The wounded side of Christ continues to pour forth that stream which is never exhausted, never passes away, but offers itself time and time again to all those who wish to love as He did. For His love alone can bring about a new humanity […]. I ask our Lord Jesus Christ to grant that His Sacred Heart may continue to pour forth the streams of living water that can heal the hurt we have caused, strengthen our ability to love and serve others, and inspire us to journey together towards a just, solidary and fraternal world. Until that day when we will rejoice in celebrating together the banquet of the heavenly Kingdom in the presence of the risen Lord, Who harmonises all our differences in the light that radiates perpetually from His open Heart.” (n° 217-220)

PAUL VI’S HERITAGE: MASDU.

The ultimate goal pursued by Pope Francis was therefore the construction of a better world, which would come about if all men sought human brotherhood, the subject of his encyclical Fratelli tutti (2020), and applied themselves to the ecological preservation of our “common home”, as he set out in Laudato si (2015).

This is not the universal reign of the Sacred Heart, for the salvation of souls, but rather a “social-religious utopia” born of the “political-religious utopia” that Paul VI wanted to impose on the whole Church: the Movement for the Spiritual Animation of Universal Democracy (Masdu).

In his first Book of Accusation, our Founder, Father de Nantes wrote: “This system can be broken down into three parts, to which there is to be added one important corollary.” This is precisely what is found, with a few variations of vocabulary, in this conclusion of Dilexit nos.

“1°It is not simply the Church and Christendom which form the ‘unit of universal Salvation’, but Mankind as a whole.”

Pope Francis writes: “The love of Christ alone can bring about a new humanity;” and keep the Churchfrom worshipping her own mentality.”

“2°The new Gospel of this community is the Declaration of the Rights of man, with its trilogy of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

We become capable, the Pope writes, of forging bonds of fraternity, of recognising the dignity of each human being”. This is the so-called foundation of Human Rights, which he never ceases to demand for all, all, all!

“3°The building of a World Democracy [of universal Brotherhood] is the analogy here on earth of the Kingdom of God, and it is to be attained through the coming of Justice and Peace, in Truth and Love.

“And the Corollary: that the function of Religion – by which is to be understood a union of all the existing religions – is to provide inspiration and Spiritual Animation for Mankind thus regenerated. (Liber Accusationis in Paulum sextum)

This is the meaning of the conclusion of the encyclical Dilexit nos: by drinking in the love of the Sacred Heart, we become capable, Pope Francis explains, of “journeying together towards a just, solidary and fraternal world, while awaiting the heavenly Kingdom”. He wanted to set an example of this fraternity with his friend Ahmad At-Tayyeb in Abu Dhabi in 2019, at the cost of a blasphemous denial of his Divine Master, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Whose Divinity this Great Imam rejects.

“THE DEATH OF ALL RELIGION.”

Our Father also wrote to Pope Paul VI: “It is as a result of your obsessive preoccupation with the building of the Brave New World, with the most irresponsible, ill-defined, anarchical political Systems ever invented, that the Church has for the past ten years been undergoing an appalling disintegration.”

This accusation now affects the work left to us by the late Pope Francis.

Our Father’s subsequent development explains the motives behind all of Pope Francis’ reforms, which are the culmination of the aggiornamento undertaken by Paul VI at the Second Vatican Council:

In your system, the Church’s dogmas, clear and constant, have become so many obstacles to universal understanding and hence they are said to hinder fraternity. The Sacraments, at first still acceptable as sources of spiritual strength that aid men in their temporal tasks, soon appear useless because the rest of mankind can do just as good a day’s work on the building site of the world as we can, without any recourse to them. The Commandments of God are at first twisted and distorted to make them fit into the system of the builders [the lobbies that are best left unmentioned], and finally thrown aside altogether as intolerable burdens. And finally, the whole Institution of the Church begins to crumble.” (Liber Accusationis in Paulum sextum)

She is falling ‘into ruins’ today, according to the prophecy of the Third Secret of Fatima, under the blows of the synodal reform that Pope Francis was pursuing with such determination. One of his last acts, was to send a letter on March 15, from hospital, to the bishops of the world, urging them to enter the ‘synodal process,’ with provision for a follow-up in the years to come, to monitor the application of these new reforms.

Our Lord has put an end to it, for the time being. Can He allow the very constitution of the Church He Himself founded on the Faith of Peter and the authority of the Apostles, to be dislocated? And for His own Vicar to set about building a new one, without dogma or hierarchical institutions?

Yet, the root causes of the evil remain. Pope Francis’ dream of making the Church a leaven of ‘universal communion’ with all men is the fruit of Paul VI’s utopia, but also of John Paul II’s gnosis.

JOHN PAUL II’S HERITAGE: GOD WANTS…
THE DIGNITY OF THE HUMAN PERSON.

It is true that for Pope Francis, the love of God, His mercy, seemed to be the first principle. He even used it to justify all his reforms. What are we to think, then of this sort of mysticism that justifies all emancipation and subversion?

As we have shown (cf. Pope Francis, a Gnostic reformism), Pope Francis, respectful of man’s inalienable rights, had taken up John Paul II’s conception of God’s unconditional, infinite, almost servile love for all men, whatever the state of their souls. He wrote in Laudato si: “Saint John Paul II stated that the special love of the Creator for each human being confers upon him or her an infinite dignity.” (no. 65)

In 2024, the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith published the document Dignitas infinita at the Pope’s behest, explaining that God, in creating man in His image and likeness, confers upon him an inalienable ontological dignity, which justifies the assertion of the rights of all, all, all!

This document is quoted in Dilexit nos: “Jesus brought the great novelty of recognising the dignity of every person, especially those who were consideredunworthy’.” (no. 170)

“YOUR GNOSIS, MOST HOLY FATHER!”

Thus, devotion to the Sacred Heart, as “reformed” by Pope Francis in the spirit of John Paul II, leads to the ‘cult of man’ and his earthly fulfilment! This gnosis of John Paul II, which vitiates our entire religion, was masterfully denounced by our Father in the conclusion of his third and final Book of Accusation:

You constantly and quite rightly celebrate these marvels of the Father’s solicitude for His children. This error is close to the Truth that it plagiarises. It is indeed true that this solicitude fills us with blessings, but it is at the prayer of the Virgin Mary and through the merits of Jesus Christ. Without Them, what else would we be but wretched creatures without strength or beauty?

As for the flight to the bosom of God that you promise to us all, it is in following Them in Their glorious Ascension and Assumption that we will come to this happiness and glory, yet only if we have believed what we have been preached, if we have been baptised, and if we have received the Body and Blood of Christ in anticipation of this happy resurrection!

Pope Francis wanted to open up the Church to all, in the name of divine mercy, but without mentioning these sine qua non conditions of our salvation.

While you misled us about our first birth, calling us sons and daughters of God, perfect and holy in all things, He, our Creator, in His Wisdom, did give us a nature in His image, it is true, but one that was fragile and fallible. To keep us in the humility that flourishes under trial before entering into glory, He Himself established us in an earthly condition that must be lived in obscurity and in obedience to His law, with all the strength of our spiritual soul, but not without some providential help.

Original sin was not, as you wrote, a minor affair that was quickly overcome and forgotten. Our earthly abode became a misery and a snare for us. Immense multitudes of degenerate human beings – why hide the fact? – have rebelled against their Creator, followed the demons, attached themselves to earthly goods and turned their eyes away from the Beatitude that God contemplated giving them in a better and final abode. This, however, you did not wish to say, lest you displease the men of our proud times. They want to turn their earthly abode where God detains them, into a Heaven of their own, where they can inebriate themselves with the same goods and the same satisfactions they have always known.” (Liber III)

It is terrible to note that Pope Francis himself, in his own way, worked only to turn this earthly abode, into a Heaven, through fraternity, peace, care of the common House. Even in his suffering, as he wrote in his testament: “The suffering that manifested itself in the last part of my life, is the offering to the Lord for peace in the world and brotherhood between peoples.”

“LET US PREACH THE TRUE PATHS OF SALVATION!”

In his petition to John Paul II, which concluded his Book of Accusation against the author of the so-called Catechism of the Catholic Church, a work that synthesises the religion ‘updated’ by Vatican II and written under the direction of Cardinal Ratzinger, our Father asked:

What is to be done now?” His response, which expresses the purest Catholic mysticism, in the spirit of Saint Pius X’s inaugural encyclical, E supremi apostolatus, indicates to Pope Francis’ successor some ways to bring about the renaissance of the Church:

What is to be done now? Nothing other than to preach Jesus and Mary, Jesus crucified and Mary transfixed. Men must be taught that the moment has come to adore the true Man, the true image and likeness of the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Immaculate Conception, His Holy Mother Who gives Him to us to cherish in order that we may grieve over our dissimilarity and our misfortune in this vale of tears, while we wait for the grace of salvation, which proceeds from an incomprehensible and inestimable predestination.

Our mirages have led us astray, Most Holy Father; we have lost our way in our gnosis and we are filled with pride for having dreamed of a plan of grace more wonderful than that of God Himself! We have thrust the human race back under the yoke of Satan, a Liar from the beginning. Today, he believes he can triumph through our false Gospel. Ah, let us repent, let us preach the true paths of salvation! It will never be too late to repair our errors and our extravagant behaviour. Through the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Sacred Heart will allow Himself to be touched, and our world, humbly athirst for Life, Truth and Love, will find or rediscover the way of the Church, the way of Rome, which is that of the Kingdom of Heaven in this world and in the next.” (Liber III)

Pope Francis canonised John Paul II and his spiritual master, Paul VI. The way to repair all the damage done to the Church would be to revoke these canonisations. They are null and void, scandalous, since no one has been able to respond to the serious accusations of heresy, schism and scandal levelled by our Father against these two Pontiffs, whose destructive work Pope Francis was simply continuing.

OUR HOPE.

One fact remains, the fruit of what was left of Pope Francis’ piety: Russia is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. ‘We turn to You, we knock at the door of Your Heart’, he said before the statue of Our Lady of Fatima on March 25, 2022, in union with all the bishops of the world.

Mother of God and our Mother, to Your Immaculate Heart we solemnly entrust and consecrate ourselves, the Church and all humanity, especially Russia and Ukraine.” Because Pope Francis is the successor of Saint Peter, to whom Our Lord promised that “whatever he binds on earth shall be bound in Heaven,” Russia has now been placed in the hands of the Blessed Virgin, with a view to the conversion of this people whom She holds so dear.

The same applies to this consecration as to that of the ‘new Mass’: their validity is indisputable, but we must now cooperate in the ‘sacramental’ grace obtained by this new bond, this privileged relationship established between “the Church and all humanity, especially Russia and Ukraine” on the one hand, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the other. If we pay no heed to the change brought about by these ‘consecratory’ words, it is just one more outrage! Now that we are consecrated to Her, the Blessed Virgin expects us to respond to Her requests: ‘Let us not offend the Lord Our God any more for He is already too greatly offended’’, let us recite the Rosary every day, let us practise the reparatory Communion of the first Saturdays of the month.

Pope Francis has done nothing of the sort. As a result, the graces that Our Lady wants to dispense on earth are bound, war ravages the world and souls fall into Hell as though sucked into a whirlpool. Let it be us at least who do our utmost to spread and practice devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

RESURRECTION

Because the one chosen by the conclave will become the head of a Church consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, She Herself, our Divine Mother, will entreat him through Her grace to comply with Her requests, for the renaissance of the Church, a prerequisite for the conversion of Russia and the certain time of peace promised by Heaven.

She has already given these graces to Blessed John Paul I, Her chosen one, the figure, model and protector of the Pope who will restore the Church. This is the secret of Our Lady, which She showed as a figure to Lucy, Francisco and Jacinta, and which our Father, in the evening of his life, commented on in his Complaint of love and mercy:

I, Mary of the Seven Sorrows, abandoning those whose hands are covered in blood, I keep vigil along with My unique Son, over My confidant, the secret witness of all, your noble Pastor, Albino Luciani. I beheld him in that pure light that is God, passing like a glorious body for which an immense glory was reserved. My Immaculate Heart beat with maternal love to the verge of breaking, for it was he who was the object of the tenderness of My God, but He appeared oblivious of this.

“The Angel who was clearing a path for him once again cried out loud enough to stir the abyss. Penance! Penance! Penance!

However, the world, on the left of My splendour, was choking with fury and hatred, but My Prince, My Priest, set little store by this; on the contrary he smiled, with a divine grace, like My Christ in times past.

The Holy Land [the Church], on My right, seemed to be awakening from a long night and was practicing singing the hallelujah of Heaven.

Then the Angel sounded his trumpet and we beheld religious and priests turning towards Me and greeting Me with countless Ave Marias. They formed processions to Lourdes, Loreto and Fatima, with a cheerfulness that reminded the older folk of the extraordinary feasts of ancient times.”

Such will be the Phalange’s autumn pilgrimage to commemorate the centenary of Pontevedra: a pilgrimage of reparation, of supplication for the new pontificate, but also the first fruits of the Church’s resurrection.

Ah! My dear children, observe, observe carefully the one whom you have already seen, albeit as a phantom through the veils of God’s glory which bathes this country. It is your Pope who disappeared for a time, as though dead, and who now returns, like a good Shepherd, to save his flock.”

Let us pray, pray much for the Holy Father, that he may be a worthy successor to John Paul I, and that, by having recourse to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, he may restore the dogma of the Faith which She preserves intact in the souls who are faithful to Her.

Tenebrae (Latin for “darkness”) is the Latin rite religious service (Matins and Lauds) celebrated in the obscurity of the early morning on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, the last three days of Holy Week, to commemorate the sufferings and death of Christ.

This article was published in the French paper edition He is Risen and on our French website prior to the death of Pope Francis, and may be considered an assessment of his pontificate.
