Petition to Pope Francis

Pope Francis invited everyone to a day of prayer and fasting on Ash Wednesday. He called on political leaders “to examine their conscience seriously before God.” We sent him the following letter to remind him that everything depends on him.

Jesus! Mary! Joseph!

Saint-Parres-lès-Vaudes,
February 26 2022

Most Holy Father,

I have come to beseech you, as the last of your sons, to put an end to this war which is about to set the world afire, if you do nothing. It is almost a hundred years since Our Lady came to ask for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, promising to save her if the Holy Father would deign to accomplish this consecration by ordering all the bishops in communion with him to pronounce it at the same time as he did: in a synodal manner.

How can you resist this request from our heavenly Mother, Who is speaking to you as She spoke to Bernadette at Lourdes, asking her “to be so kind as” to come for a fortnight... Will you not be so kind as to do what She is asking in the Name of God Himself?

She is all powerful, being our Queen, and She is the Mother of us all. She, however, does not want to do anything without you, our Holy Father the Pope, image on earth of our most beloved heavenly Father, and Vicar of His Son, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If you were not our Father on earth, I would be right to wait: he is powerful enough, since he is the Pope, to assist us, but alas, not being our Father, he does not love us.

If you could not, I would excuse you, saying: it is true that he cherishes us as his sons, but the poor Pontiff lacks the power to do so. Do not tell me, Most Holy Father, that you cannot, for Our Mother of every one of us, forever, has promised to answer your prayer if you consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart. So you only have to say one word, and Russia will be converted, and we will have peace.

Our Homeland, France, is the Kingdom of Mary, will you let it go to war with Russia, which She loves and has promised to save at your word, which the whole synod of the successors of the Apostles accompanies? I beseech you, Most Holy Father, to console us in all our present anguish and tribulations, both spiritual and corporal, by consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as your holy predecessor, John Paul I, intended to do, had he lived.

Deign to bless us, Most Holy Father, in return for the unceasing prayers that we address daily to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for you,

Brother Bruno of Jesus Mary,
Superior General of the Order of Little Brothers
and Little Sisters of the Sacred Heart.

If Pope Francis deigns to hear us, he will be followed by the Ukrainian Roman Catholic Bishops’ Conferences, who asked him, at the same time that we did, to consecrate Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Holy Father!

In these hours of immeasurable suffering and of a terrible ordeal for our people, we, the bishops of the Ukrainian Bishops’ Conference, are the spokesmen of the unceasing and sincere prayer, supported by our priests and consecrated persons, which comes to us from all the Christian people for Your Holiness, for our Homeland and for Russia.

In response to this prayer, we humbly ask Your Holiness to perform the act of consecration of Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary publicly, as requested by Our Lady at Fatima.

May the Mother of God, Queen of Peace, accept our prayer: Regina pacis, ora pro nobis!

Russia is the last Catholic, political, economic and religious bulwark against the Demonic enterprise to destroy Christianity. She is the absolute weapon of Our Lady of Fatima Who descended from Heaven in 1917, in the middle of a world war, to wage Her final battle against the Devil, to crush his head and liberate not only the Ukraine but holy and gentle France and, through her, the whole world and commend it to the Sacred Heart,

So be it!
