Prayer to Saint Joseph for the Church

Prayer to Glorious Saint Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church.
(To be recited daily to obtain a Holy Pope)

O Saint Joseph, Glorious Patron of the Universal Church, we want to honour you and pray to you for the Church, with unlimited confidence in your omnipotence. We proclaim your virtues, we admire them and we glorify you for this vocation that was yours, for this task that you fulfilled so well, eager to serve, to love, to surround Mary and Jesus with thoughtful attentiveness. You are the protector, patron and head of the Church, just as you were the head and attentive father of the Holy Family of Nazareth.

We therefore beg you to have pity on the Holy Church, whom you cannot leave in her present state, and whom you must help. Through your almighty intercession grant that she may restore to the Sacraments their full authority and re-establish discipline. Then, once more souls will be converted, vocations will flourish and everyone will progress in holiness.

You, so vigilant in defending the Infant Jesus and the Virgin Mary, how could you fail be vigilant likewise within the Church, which is an extension of the Holy Family of Nazareth? How could you fail to manifest your almightiness on behalf of the Heart of Mary, your faithful Spouse?

Remember that at Fatima you blessed the world, thus demonstrating the power that Heaven has given you for these times of apostasy in which we live.

Most pure, most generous and almighty Heart of Saint Joseph, you whose obedience to the orders of Heaven was always perfect, give us, we beseech you, a Pope after the Immaculate Heart of your holy Spouse, the Virgin Mary. Then the Holy Father will submit to all Her requests, for the salvation of the multitudes! Then the consecration of Russia will bear all its fruits of grace and Mercy. And devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Our Queen will triumph throughout the world.

Then, through your intercession, the Church will finally be converted, rejecting all her errors, she will regain her ancient splendour and lead souls to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our refuge and the path that leads us to God.

Amen!
