The name ʿīsā, “Jesus,” occurs in 25 verses of the Qurʾān. What lesson is the author of the Qurʾān trying to convey in writing about Jesus, son of Mary?

In the Qurʾān: Muḥammad

The author of Sūrah 3 refers to himself as muḥammadun. Arabic Tradition has always regarded this word as the personal name of the founder of Islam: “Muḥammad.” Does history confirm this claim?
